Signals & Datasets
What real IronBCI-32 recordings look like, and open data to practise with.
Example signals
32 channels in real time
All 32 channels streaming in BrainFlow's real-time plot.

EEG: alpha test
Eyes closed and open in turn, recorded with dry Ag/AgCl electrodes without gel. The bottom plot is the signal; the top is its wavelet power. The alpha power rises in the "closed" periods.

Learn to recognise artifacts (blinks, jaw clenches, movement) before you analyse anything. Remove or mark them before computing band power or training a model.

| File | Content | Size |
|---|---|---|
eeg_32ch_20s.xlsx | Raw EEG, 32 channels (Ch1–Ch32), in µV | 10,241 samples, about 20 seconds |
Channel numbers follow the electrode layout.
Raw values carry a large DC offset (tens of thousands of µV). That is normal for raw data. Apply a high-pass or band-pass filter (for example 1–40 Hz) before looking at EEG. Plot_data.py (opens in a new tab) shows how, with an 8–12 Hz alpha filter and a wavelet view.
