Power Bank
Power Bank All PiEEG devices must be powered from a battery (power bank) only — not from mains power. This ensures electrical isolation and safe, clean signal acquisition. Choosing a Power Bank For PiEEG, PiEEG-16, and JNEEG, use a power bank with a 5V output, a minimum output current of 3A, and a capacity of no more than 10,000 mAh. For ardEEG, use a smaller power bank: 5V output with no more than 1A output current and a capacity of up to 1,000 mAh. A single power bank can supply both the PiEEG device and a connected monitor at the same time, as long as it meets the current requirements for your device. Choosing a USB Cable Use the shortest USB cable practical for your setup. Longer cables increase resistance and can cause voltage drops that affect device stability. Always use a thick-gauge cable to ensure sufficient current is delivered to the device.
