Safety

Read this before putting electrodes on anyone.

⚠️

IronBCI-8 is not a medical device and has not been certified by any regulator for use with the human body. It is an engineering development and evaluation board for research and education. You use it at your own risk.

Rules

  1. Battery only while worn. IronBCI-8 runs from its own LiPo battery and sends data wirelessly. Nothing is cabled between the person and a computer.
  2. Never wear it while charging. Unplug the USB cable before electrodes go on. While charging, set Switch 2 OFF.
  3. No mains connection of any kind while electrodes are on a person.
  4. No diagnosis. Don't use IronBCI-8 to diagnose, monitor or treat any medical condition.
  5. Implanted devices. Don't use it on a person with a pacemaker or other implanted electronic device without a physician's approval.
  6. Skin. Use clean, intact skin. Stop if the skin becomes irritated, and clean off gel after each session.
  7. Exposed electronics. The boards have no case. Handle them by the edges and keep liquids away.
