PiEEG-16
PiEEG-16 is the expanded version of the original PiEEG shield, doubling the channel count from 8 to 16. It connects directly to the Raspberry Pi GPIO header and uses two ADS1299 analog front-end chips in daisy-chain configuration to deliver 16 channels of high-quality biosignal data in real time.
This makes PiEEG-16 well suited for full-coverage EEG recordings, higher-density EMG setups, and research applications that require more electrode positions than the 8-channel PiEEG can provide.
Captured data is streamed, recorded, and processed by the PiEEG Server software, which exposes it over WebSocket, LSL, OSC, and webhooks — with a built-in browser dashboard included.
Key Features:
- 16 channels of simultaneous biosignal acquisition
- Supports EEG, EMG, and ECG measurements
- Connects directly to the Raspberry Pi GPIO header
- Dual ADS1299 analog front-end chips in daisy-chain configuration
- Compatible with dry and Ag/AgCl wet electrodes via 2.54 mm pin pitch connectors
- Works with the PiEEG Server for real-time streaming, recording, and integrations
How It Differs from PiEEG
