Software Setup

This page is a short introduction to getting PiEEG XR running with the software. For full details, follow the linked videos below.

[!NOTE] You don't need a Meta Quest to try PiEEG XR — you can test it directly through the PiEEG Server in your browser.

1. Connect via the Live Demo

1. Open pieeg.com (opens in a new tab) and click Try Live Demo.
2. Make sure Bluetooth is turned on on your device.
3. Connect to the PiEEG XR device over BLE.

Once connected, live data begins streaming.

2. Test the Signal

1. Put the mask on your face.
2. Watch the incoming data and run a few simple tests — blinking and chewing produce clear, visible signals.
3. Experiment with the band-pass filter and other settings.
4. Save your data, or test facial mimics through the built-in mini-games.

[!TIP] To test mimics, open Mini-Games and choose Face Trainer.
